Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working with children who require both educational support and personal care assistance. This is a full-time, 5-day-per-week position, offering a competitive salary, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a classroom setting, and be willing and able to provide personal care assistance when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support with Learning: Assist the child in accessing the curriculum, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Provide personal care support, including but not limited to toileting, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
  • Classroom Support: Support the child within the classroom setting, ensuring they are included in all activities and working alongside the class teacher to meet their needs.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track the child's progress, communicating effectively with parents and other professionals involved in their care and education.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage the child's independence while ensuring they have the support they need to succeed.
