Head Chef Position in Care Home

This role involves working as a Chef in one of our care homes, where you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious meals to our residents. We are looking for someone with a passion for cooking and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
As an Agency Chef, you will work autonomously to plan and prioritize tasks, ensuring that all meals are prepared to a high standard and delivered to our residents on time.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare meals according to menu plans and nutritional guidelines
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Work effectively with colleagues to achieve service times and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of new staff members
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home setting
- An understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including an estimated £14-£18 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
