About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Safeguarding Manager to support our Senior Vice Principal for Safeguarding across all schools in Lambeth and Chelmsford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding children and promoting their wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support Staff Development: Provide staff inductions and training on safeguarding procedures, ensuring they are equipped to handle safeguarding concerns.
  2. Safeguarding Oversight: Oversee pupils with CP, CIN, and CLA status, providing necessary support and resources.
  3. Safeguarding Leadership: Attend conferences and meetings, leading discussions on safeguarding concerns and referrals, and ensuring effective safeguarding practices.
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Leadership Experience: Possess successful experience as a leader in challenging settings, preferably with expertise in SEMH.
  • Duty to Safeguard Children: Hold outstanding experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and leader, ideally in school or social settings.
  • Qualifications and Training: Be a fully-qualified social worker or possess DSL-level safeguarding training.
  • Education: Hold at least a good first degree in a core subject.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Have secure knowledge of statutory requirements, including the Independent School Standards, and relevant post-graduate qualifications.
