At Marie Curie UK, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Talent and Development. As a key member of our People & Organisational Development directorate, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our talent development, performance management, and learning frameworks and processes.

This is a highly visible and senior role within our organisation, and you will be working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure our outputs are aligned with our business strategy, objectives, and values.

As the Head of Talent and Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development and delivery of our talent development, performance management, and learning frameworks and processes
  • Aligning these frameworks and processes with our business strategy, objectives, and values
  • Ensuring that our organisation has the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to meet its strategy and plans

You will be entering the organisation at a time of significant change, and there is an opportunity to review and diagnose our Talent & Development maturity level and design a roadmap for improvement.

This is an ideal career opportunity for a commercially minded individual with expertise in talent management and development, having operated at a senior level in this field. You will bring a deep understanding of the impact that L&D can make on organisational culture and performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering talent management solutions in large, complex organisations
  • Expertise in talent management and development, having operated at senior level in this field within the private sector (essential)
  • Experience in leading teams to provide high-impact and value-for-money L&D functions
  • Experience in design, delivery, implementation, and running of organisational talent management and succession programmes
