**Job Description:** Business Development Manager Land Freight

**Location:** Mallusk, Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland (with travel to clients and flexible home-working options)

**About the Company:** My client operates one of Europes largest and most reliable road freight networks, supported by over 400 offices across the continent. In the UK, their operations feature daily departures from key terminals and a dedicated fleet for collection and delivery.

**Salary:** A competitive package, including car allowance, uncapped sales incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Driving sales growth by sourcing, developing, and securing new land freight business from both national and local key clients.
  • Collaborating closely with Product and Business Unit Management in Land Freight to maximize sales strategies and improve win rates.
  • Leveraging your expertise to make a significant impact on business growth and market presence.

**Requirements:**

  • A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and onboarding major new clients.
  • Solid understanding of the European Road Transport sector, including Customs Clearance processes and Incoterms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong client relationships and identify valuable business opportunities.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to manage client relationships and sales processes effectively.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English to communicate confidently with clients and team members.
  • High-level negotiation skills and commercial insight to support business profitability.
