About the Role

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join their dynamic Materials Management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking the ordering of materials and stock, as well as assisting and managing all aspects of the distribution service in relation to clinically related consumables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical and other stock associated with the functioning and effectiveness of a specialist NHS Hospital.
  • Monitor and manage all PPE, clinical goods receipting, ordering and inventory management tasks.
  • Liaise with relevant Trust Teams/committees as well as external partners from NCL and NHS Supply Chain on a daily basis.
  • Ensure a efficient materials management service to the Trust and the Procurement team.

Requirements

  • A-level or NVQ L3 or equivalent experience of at least 2 years in a related environment.
  • Inventory Management skills.
  • Experience of distribution and storage of high turnover critical stock lines.
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and web-based searches.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and methodology.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a dynamic stores environment.
  • Broad knowledge of the NHS.
  • Minimum 2 years in Materials Management or working in an NHS environment.
