Senior Client Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Client Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable accountancy practice in Norwich, with a strong presence in the East of England and across the UK.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a client portfolio, with a results-driven approach and excellent communication skills. They will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with at least three years' post-qualification experience and have a sound commercial understanding, including forecasting and monitoring fee recovery.

The role will involve owning responsibility for a portfolio of clients, managing workflow, deadlines, and budgets. The successful candidate will also lead a team of accountants, reviewing work, providing constructive mentorship, and motivating those around them.

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 to £90,000 per annum, a generous holiday allowance, contributory pension scheme, and professional development opportunities. Our company culture is positive and supportive, with modern office facilities and flexible working options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning responsibility for a portfolio of clients, managing workflow, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Planning and undertaking assignments, striving to deliver service excellence.
  • Lead a team of accountants, reviewing work, providing constructive mentorship, and motivating those around you.
  • Own responsibility of KPIs, including monthly billing forecasts and ensuring fee recovery rates are met.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, proactively handling queries.
  • Act as clients' financial business partner, providing sound advisory and technical know-how.
  • Reviewing processes and implementing more efficient ways of service delivery.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least three years' post-qualification experience.
  • Specialist knowledge of medical sector regulations would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a client portfolio, with a results-driven approach.
  • Previous experience leading a team, including reviewing work and providing mentorship.
  • A sound commercial understanding, including forecasting and monitoring fee recovery.
