CHC Business Support Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Business Support Officer to join our dynamic team at NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board. This is an exciting opportunity to form part of a team committed to providing high-quality services.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the scheduling function of the business team and will support with scheduling appointments for Nurse Coordinators to consider eligibility for CHC. The post holder will liaise with members of the public and other stakeholders, whilst supporting a team of Business Support Assistants within this area of process.
This role will include close liaison with both NHS partners and wider organisations, including the private and voluntary sector. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively within a team and will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, flexible, and multi-skilled.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist administration support and advice to the team
- Supporting the CHC business team to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed, and delivered effectively
- Acting as a point of contact for the department, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner
- Communicating effectively with all callers, providing professional and well-informed responses
- Responding appropriately to queries and complaints on a range of complex, serious, and contentious matters
- Dealing with incoming correspondence for the designated work area, responding or redirecting as appropriate
- Coordinating agendas and papers for meetings, taking and transcribing minutes to a high standard
- Promptly and accurately producing letters, memos, reports, tables, minutes, presentations, and other documents
- Supporting the development of standard approaches and best practice for a variety of admin tasks
- Managing electronic filing systems for the designated work area, ensuring confidentiality is always maintained
- Supporting colleagues' training, induction, and personal development
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum GCSE qualification in English Language & Maths or equivalent
- RSA III word processing or equivalent experience
- NVQ Level 3 administration or significant relevant experience
- Evidence of continuous personal development
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- Previous experience of working within Continuing Healthcare
- Previous NHS administration experience
