Clinical Support Worker Higher Level

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Support Worker Higher Level to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our operating theatre department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and care for patients undergoing surgery, working within the Head & Neck and Plastics portfolio.
- Set up and prepare theatre for elective procedures, checking equipment and ensuring a safe environment for patients.
- Circulate theatre alongside a theatre practitioner, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Gain a good understanding of surgical procedures and the Head & Neck and Plastic specialty as a whole.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and active listening skills.
- Timekeeping, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Basic IT skills to use electronic patient records and other Trust systems.
- Experience/knowledge of theatre environment.
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2.
- Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of patient and clinical care duties.
- Care certificate.
