Clinical Support Worker Higher Level: A Rewarding Role in Theatre Support

The South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Support Worker Higher Level to join our theatre team. As a Clinical Support Worker Higher Level, you will play a vital role in supporting our theatre staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and care for patients undergoing surgery, working within the Head & Neck and Plastics portfolio.
- Set up and ensure theatre is ready for the day, setting up for elective procedures, checking equipment and ensuring theatre is prepared for the patient.
- Circulate the theatre alongside a theatre practitioner, gaining a good understanding of the surgical procedures and the Head & Neck and Plastic specialty as a whole.
- Work within a team to provide high-quality patient care and support.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and active listening skills.
- Timekeeping, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Basic IT skills to use electronic patient records and other Trust systems.
- Experience/knowledge of theatre environment.
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2.
- Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties and/or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3.
- Care certificate.
