We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Theatre Charge Nurse at a prominent healthcare facility. The operating department comprises multiple theatres and provides comprehensive staffing for various surgical procedures.
This is a remarkable opportunity for an individual eager to enhance their leadership skills in nursing or ODP, collaborate with dynamic teams, and elevate the patient experience within our surgical department. The department caters to a significant number of surgical patients annually.
Key Responsibilities
We seek a candidate with exceptional communication abilities, the capacity to perform effectively under pressure, and a commitment to delivering exemplary service to our patients and clinical teams. You should be self-driven, well-organized, and adept at managing competing priorities. Your leadership approach will foster the ongoing development of staff and the service model through transformative change.
The successful candidate will hold 24-hour accountability for specific theatre services. You will engage clinically with all members of the multidisciplinary team and possess extensive clinical knowledge to guide the nursing and ODP team within this framework. It is expected that you will provide expertise and leadership while working clinically for 50% of your hours. You should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage change sensitively. Experience in management tasks such as e-rostering and implementing patient quality and safety initiatives will enhance your application. You will be expected to illustrate how you contribute to the organization's quality and safety objectives.

Leadership and Development Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides leadership and development training for all new staff. This program is designed to assist our leaders in enhancing their understanding of leadership and management competencies. Participation in the leadership development program and the Quality Improvement Program is expected. This program aims to:
