We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Support Worker Higher Level to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy operating theatre department, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and care for patients undergoing surgery, working within the Head & Neck and Plastics portfolio.
- Set up and ensure theatre is ready for the day, setting up for elective procedures, checking equipment and ensuring theatre is prepared for the patient.
- Circulate the theatre alongside a theatre practitioner, gaining a good understanding of surgical procedures and the Head & Neck and Plastic specialty.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and active listening skills.
- Timekeeping, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Basic IT skills to use electronic patient records and other Trust systems.
- Experience/knowledge of theatre environment.
As a Clinical Support Worker Higher Level, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, with access to ongoing training and development opportunities. You will be fully supported by the theatre sisters and theatre manager, and will have the chance to gain a good understanding of the surgical procedures and the Head & Neck and Plastic specialty.
