Job Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bury St Edmunds.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with SEN, assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, and fostering a supportive learning environment. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver personalized support to students with SEN, promoting their educational and personal development.
  2. Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  3. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure effective support for students with SEN.
  5. Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence in students.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
  2. A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  4. Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
  5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including weekly pay processed through PAYE and access to high street discounts.
