Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assistant to join our team at Ad Warrior. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the workshop and art equipment, preparing resources, and ensuring the safe storage of materials.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair workshop and art equipment as necessary, recommending external repairs or replacements when required.
- Prepare equipment and resources for demonstration purposes or use by teaching staff and pupils, including cutting materials and basic preparation of ingredients.
- Clean workshop and kitchen equipment, sinks, and supervise the emptying of sink traps. Perform health and safety checks on workshops, kitchens, art rooms, and preparation rooms, stores, and dispose of waste safely.
- Ensure safe storage of resources and equipment in line with health and safety regulations. Collect, check, and return equipment to stores. Conduct stocktaking, cataloguing, and resource control.
- Support teaching staff in lesson delivery, e.g., practical demonstrations and practical lesson support. Trial practical activities and projects. Attend lessons when required to assist pupils with practical work. Provide technical support to students/pupils, including health and safety guidance.
- Carry out risk assessments for technician activities. Ensure teachers have appropriate risk assessments for practicals they intend to deliver. Provide health and safety guidance to experienced and trainee teachers. Maintain records of H&S checks on workshop equipment and subject-specific training.

Salary Information
The salary for this position is approximately £24,790 - £26,409 per annum, depending on experience.
