Groundworks Development Manager

A reputable construction company in the Chester area is seeking an experienced Groundworks Development Manager to oversee groundworks operations and contribute to the company's growth strategy.

Your Key Objectives:
  • As a senior member of the site team, you will be responsible for managing construction sites, ensuring compliance with established health and safety protocols and quality standards.
  • You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with site engineers to guarantee timely provision of line and level services.
  • Accountable for maintaining accurate records and implementing robust documentation processes.
  • You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, staff, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Quality assurance of substructure work, including drainage, foundations, roads, and other infrastructure projects, is another significant responsibility.
  • Regular maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and adherence to company policies are expected.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a valid CSCS card, SSSTS/SMSTS certification, First Aid at Work qualification, and 360 excavator operator's ticket.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are mandatory.
  • A valid UK driver's license is required.
  • Excellent numeracy and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel.
Compensation Package:

A competitive basic salary of £55,000 per annum, complemented by a performance-based bonus structure offering up to 8% of the annual salary. The package also includes a company-provided van, access to a pension scheme, private medical insurance, and life cover.
