Highway Development Manager

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highways development management, including road adoptions and third-party highway works. They will be responsible for input into policy development and carrying out development management functions, liaising with developers and dealing with strategic planning issues.

Key responsibilities will include controlling the impact of development on the Council's highway network, ensuring the safety of all road users, and working closely with the Highways Development Control Team to achieve these goals.

As a Principal Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects, dealing with major proposals involving the implementation and adoption of third-party highway works, and ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with Council policies and procedures.

Key skills and qualifications will include a strong understanding of highways engineering, transportation planning, and project management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
