Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement H&S improvement projects to drive organisational excellence.
  • Maintain and improve our ISO45001 management system standards.
  • Lead and develop the Health and Safety team, providing guidance and support to colleagues across the business.
  • Regularly report to senior management on key H&S performance metrics.
  • Establish the Health and Safety strategy, analysing statistics to identify areas for improvement and drive change initiatives.
  • Chair H&S committee meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and communicate their impact on the organisation.
Requirements
  • A commercially aware approach to H&S with a strong focus on practical implementation.
  • High levels of resilience, self-motivation, and integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and its application in practice.
  • Minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in successfully managing and developing a team.
  • Proven track record of implementing safety improvement projects, particularly those focused on cultural change.
