A Global Leader in Manufacturing Seeks a Health and Safety Expert
Hybrid working - £50,000 per annum plus benefits
A highly successful global organisation operating within the manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join their HR team. This role reports directly to the Director of HR, with the primary focus on maintaining H&S compliance across the business, adhering to relevant legislation.
This opportunity presents itself as a chance for a driven and motivated Health and Safety professional to lead the team in promoting a positive safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and prioritising Health and Safety above all else. As an integral part of the HR team, you will be responsible for managing a small team, ensuring accreditation to OHSAS:18001 Health and Safety Management Systems, reviewing the company's H&S policy, and delivering it within the relevant scope of the OH&S management system.
You will also conduct root cause analysis for reported accidents, identifying trends, and administering necessary legislative requirements. Furthermore, you will perform full compliance audits, risk assessments, and ensure all areas of the business are suitably prioritised accordingly.
To succeed in this role, you must be NEBOSH certified and have prior experience in the manufacturing sector. You will possess extensive knowledge and experience in conducting various risk assessments, coupled with a strong awareness of relevant HSE legislation and working knowledge of 18001, 14001, or equivalent management systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, be commercially aware, and possess a genuine passion for developing a health and safety culture within the organisation.
The salary for this role ranges up to £50,000 basic, depending on experience. The position is based in Warwickshire and offers easy commutability from surrounding areas.
