Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Estimated salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum based on location in Warwickshire.
A successful global organisation is seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Manager to lead their HR team in maintaining H&S compliance across the business. Reporting to the Director of HR, this role focuses on ensuring adherence to relevant legislation.
This exciting opportunity involves promoting a positive safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and prioritising Health and Safety above all else.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team and maintain accreditation to OHSAS:18001 Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Review the company's H&S policy and ensure its implementation within the OH&S management system's scope.
- Define and periodically test emergency response processes.
- Analyse root causes of reported accidents, including trend identification and necessary legislative administration.
- Conduct full compliance audits and ensure all areas of the business are suitably risk assessed and prioritised accordingly.
Requirements:
To be suitable for this role, you will have NEBOSH certification and prior experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector. You should possess extensive knowledge of conducting various risk assessments, coupled with awareness of relevant HSE legislation, and a working knowledge of 18001, 14001, or equivalent management systems. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware with strong project management skills, able to build strong relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders, and have a genuine passion for developing the culture of Health and Safety within the organisation.
