Senior Health and Safety Manager Wanted

Up to £50,000 Basic Salary

A renowned global organisation in the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking an accomplished Senior Health and Safety Manager to lead their Health and Safety team. This role reports directly to the Director of HR and focuses on maintaining H&S compliance according to relevant legislation across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety professional to drive continuous improvement, promote a positive safety culture, and maintain Health and Safety as the Company's number one priority.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Health and Safety team and manage a small team
  2. Maintain accreditation to OHSAS:18001 Health and Safety Management Systems
  3. Review and ensure compliance with the organisation's H&S policy within the relevant scope of the OH&S management system
  4. Ensure emergency and response processes are sufficiently defined and periodically tested and reviewed
  5. Perform root cause analysis for all reported accidents and ensure inclusion of trend identification and necessary legislative administration
  6. Conduct full compliance audits and ensure all areas of the business are suitably risk assessed and prioritised accordingly

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH certification
  • Previous experience working in the manufacturing or distribution sector
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of conducting various risk assessments
  • Legal awareness of relevant HSE legislation and a working knowledge of 18001, 14001 or equivalent management systems
  • Strong project management skills and commercially aware
  • Possess a real passion for developing the culture of Health and Safety within the organisation

The successful candidate will be based in Warwickshire and will enjoy a salary of up to £50,000 basic depending on experience.
