About the Role:

The Medical Administration Registrar will be responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of robust medical administrative systems at Cabrini Health. This is a busy and dynamic role that offers training in a broad spectrum of medical administration tasks and duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the delivery of a comprehensive clinical governance/quality improvement program including clinical audit, risk management, and accreditation-related activities
  • Assisting with patient complaints, incident management, and medico-legal requests
  • Supporting the implementation of ACSQHC National Standards
  • Developing and reviewing clinical policy and procedures
  • Supporting the review and introduction of new technologies and clinical practices across the organisation
  • Participating in management of recruitment and credentialing
  • Assisting with the management of our junior medical workforce, including with recruitment, onboarding, accreditation, and financial tasks
  • Participating in Research Governance activities
  • Providing support to the Group Director Medical Services and Clinical Governance and Director of Medical Services, and undertaking duties as requested

Requirements:

  • Unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
  • Enrolled as a candidate of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators
  • Ability to take direction and willing to learn from nominated supervisors and other senior members of the team
  • Commitment to the maintenance and further development of skills applicable to the area of Medical Administration, including involvement in further education and quality assurance activities
  • Ability to prioritise work assigned, manage workflow, and complete assignments on a timely basis
  • Ability to assess situations, consider possible solutions, make and communicate decisions, and take appropriate action
  • Competent in utilising oral and written skills in presentation of ideas and listening to others
  • Confident to take risks in challenging assumptions, generating, and implementing imaginative solutions that transform the status quo, as well as proactive in dealing with change by managing potential conflict, supporting the team, and monitoring progress
  • Valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
