Head of Performance Support Services

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum (competitive)

Location: Colchester United

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Head of Performance Support Services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality support services to our players, coaches, and staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our performance support services, including the development and delivery of psychological interventions, as well as contributing to the design and delivery of our sports science and medicine provision.

About the Role:

  • Lead the development and delivery of performance support services.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of our sports science and medicine provision.
  • Work with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures related to safeguarding and equity and diversity.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a Psychology degree at Masters Level.
  • Be accredited by the British Psychological Society and/or the British Association of Sports & Exercise Medicine.
  • Have excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and equity and diversity issues.
