Job Title: Head of Academy Performance

**About the Role:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Academy Performance to join our team at Colchester United.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering provision of psychological support to enhance player performance and development. This role requires a deep understanding of psychology principles and their application in a sports setting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct performance profiling of all Academy players to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and deliver evidence-based interventions to develop players' ability to perform successfully on and off the pitch.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the position, profile, and understanding of psychology within the Academy.
  • Develop and support players using formal and informal strategies.
  • Evaluate and ensure that the club is compliant with regards to Sports Psychology provision.

**Requirements:**

  • Hold a Psychology degree at Masters Level, accredited by the British Psychological Society and/or the British Association of Sports & Exercise Medicine.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying psychology principles in a sports setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Salary:** £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
