About the Role
Giant Eagle is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Prepared Foods Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, and ensuring that their orders are filled to meet their expectations.
- Learn about our products and services to answer customer questions and make recommendations that enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to food safety and safety guidelines.
- Replenish products in the prepared foods cases, rotating stock and ensuring code dating procedures are followed.
- Record special orders accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining the efficiency of the prepared foods cooler and freezer by unloading deliveries.
- Rotate and check code dates on products to ensure customer safety.
- Assist in other departments as required.
Requirements
- 0 to 6 months of experience in a related field.
- Food safety experience is desired.
- No high school diploma is required.
- Lifting requirement: up to 50 pounds.
- Age requirement: at least 18 years of age.
