About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team in Cornwall. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will work closely with vulnerable customers who have severe and enduring mental health diagnoses.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of support needs and support planning, as well as experience in risk assessing and risk management. You will be a great communicator with the ability to develop relationships and provide appropriate care in line with each customer's personal Support plan.

This is a full-time, field-based role that requires a car and the ability to drive between customers. You will be working under pressure to meet deadlines and manage caseloads effectively. If you have knowledge of welfare and housing benefits, and a full understanding of safeguarding, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support to customers living in the community
  • Working closely with specialist providers to deliver support to customers
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with referral partners
  • Continuously assessing needs and risks to ensure the service remains suitable for customers

The salary for this role is approximately £14.45 per hour, based on a 2-month contract with the possibility of extension. We offer an essential car user allowance for this field-based role.
