Support Practitioner

About the Role:
We are seeking a positive-minded individual to support learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), focusing on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) across various curriculum areas. This role involves working with young people who may face wellbeing issues or physical disabilities.
Key responsibilities include supporting learners with the development of social and independent life skills, which may involve elements of personal care. A strong understanding of supporting learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities is essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in pre-16 or post-16 education, supporting Literacy and Numeracy, and knowledge of general curriculum requirements. A qualification in Literacy and Numeracy at level 2 or above is desirable, as well as Level 1 BSL or Makaton, or any other relevant training or qualifications.
