Job Opportunity: Interim Director of Property and Estates

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Corporate Landlord function as Interim Director of Property and Estates. This is a pivotal role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong track record of leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Asset Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive asset management strategy that aligns with the council's goals and ambitions.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the management of our property portfolio, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Building Services: Lead the development and implementation of a building services strategy that prioritizes efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Corporate Asset Management Strategy: Develop and implement a corporate asset management strategy that aligns with the council's vision and goals.
  • Asset Disposal Programme: Manage the disposal of assets in a way that maximizes value and minimizes risk.
  • Compliance and Efficiency: Ensure that our property portfolio is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations, and that we are operating in an efficient and effective manner.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Management: Proven track record of leadership and management, with experience of leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the council's goals and ambitions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with experience of managing budgets and resources.
