About the Role

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Planned Care Rota Coordinator to join their team. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate responsible for the administration processes to support the management of Planned Care rotas, ensuring effective, safe staffing levels of senior and junior doctors 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide an administrative service to the clinical body, with diary/rota management for on-call doctor's rotation.
  2. To be the first point of contact for all Rotas queries.
  3. Attend weekly rota meetings.
  4. Manage the surgical/medical staffing rotas, accessing systems to assist in the planning of rotas and dealing with complex and often conflicting demands on resources to ensure surgical cover is delivered appropriately.
  5. Ensure that rotas and the rota system are updated in a timely manner which in turn ensures the system is live.
  6. Liaison with doctors both internally and externally to organise booking their locum shifts. Management of the 'Patchwork' locum booking system.
  7. To be conversant with the relevant IT systems and packages and, where necessary, create and maintain spreadsheets and databases. Ensuring accurate data entry.
  8. Liaison with the undergraduate team to coordinate medical student placements.

  • Computer literate including word, excel, power point, email.
  • Previous experience working in a busy office with conflicting demands.
