About the Role:

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Retail and Marketing Specialist to join the University of Leeds team. As a key member of the Facilities Directorate, you will be responsible for providing marketing support for Great Food at Leeds (GFaL), the catering and retail service at the University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for all areas across Great Food at Leeds, focusing on customer retention and the promotion of the GFaL loyalty scheme and app.
  • Contribute to the wider marketing programme for the service, evaluating the impact of activities undertaken and contributing to the general operation of the service and more widely the Facilities Directorate.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create innovative café and retail spaces on campus, driving commercial revenue and providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Manage marketing campaigns that deliver tangible results, with experience of working in marketing within a commercial customer-focused environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve customer satisfaction and retention, and to promote the GFaL loyalty scheme and app.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in marketing within a commercial customer-focused environment.
  • Experience of managing marketing campaigns that deliver tangible results.
  • Experience of working with loyalty schemes and conducting comprehensive market research.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid manner, with flexibility to work occasional weekends and/or evenings to support University Open Days and events.
