About the Role

iMap Centre Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with complex needs arising from autism, behavioural and learning difficulties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized support to students to help them achieve their educational goals.
  • Working collaboratively with our education, health, and care teams to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Supporting students to develop their life skills and independence.
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Skills

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Qualifications and experience in teaching and learning or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Confidence in using technology as a work tool.
  • Knowledge of current disability and SEN theory and practice, particularly linked to autism.
