We are seeking a dedicated Media Specialist to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to secondary students, focusing on media education.


Your key responsibilities will include:




  • Planning and delivering lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, promoting academic excellence and student progress.
  • Assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student progression.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love for learning and promotes student well-being.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Participating in school-related activities, events, and meetings, promoting a positive reputation for Wayman Learning Trust.
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, promoting the welfare of all students, and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Utilizing effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:




  • A valid teaching qualification, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum, with the ability to apply it effectively in the classroom.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A passion for teaching, a commitment to academic excellence, and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
