Beacon Support Ltd. is seeking a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills and Strategy Support Tutor to work with Higher Education students. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) to develop learning strategies and improve study skills.
  • Work with students to create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and act as facilitators to help them become independent learners.
  • Address the issues that students with ASCs may face when working in a Higher Education context, such as acquiring, recalling, and retaining information in written and spoken language.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Relevant experience of working with students with ASC on a one-to-one basis.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and related AT study skills strategies.
