About the Role
The University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Support Secretary to join their Community Paediatric team. This is a key role in the administrative team, requiring excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Community Paediatric team, including audio typing and producing high-quality patient-related correspondence and reports.
- Contribute to the general daily activities of the office, including responding to telephone enquiries, filing, and other specific key activities.
- Deal with child protection and safeguarding liaison/communication as required, with training provided.
Requirements
- GCSE (or equivalent) English and numeracy
- RSA II/III or equivalent
- Audio typist
- Previous NHS experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent telephone manner
- Good organisational skills with ability to multi-task
- Time management skills
- Knowledge of hospital computer systems, including ECamis and EPR
- Diary management
