About the Role

As a Skills Coach at Mencap, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our Supported Internship program. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to complete all elements of the program. This will involve providing tailored support and guidance to help them achieve their outcomes. You will work closely with the learners, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support learners with SEN to complete all elements of the program
• Provide tailored support and guidance to help learners achieve their outcomes
• Work closely with learners, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful experience
• Develop employability skills and embed English and Maths learning in the workplace

What You'll Need

• Experience of supporting people with SEN
• Knowledge of safe working practices
• A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
• Good ICT skills
• Effective communication and record-keeping skills
