Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products and supporting 2nd life overhauls to products within the Construction Equipment product group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake thorough inspections of machinery to confirm or expand on initial field inspection reports, enabling accurate commercial assessments of repair costs.
  • Conduct standard diagnosis tests on machine components to facilitate accurate cost evaluations and condition assessments for customers.
  • Produce detailed lists of parts and materials required for proposed machine preparation work.
  • Carry out overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on machinery according to agreed work plans, removing and dispatching components for specialist attention as needed.
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they operate within expected performance levels.
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of general service manuals and computerised Service Information Systems from OEMs.
  • Practical knowledge of tooling and specialised equipment for repairing heavy machinery.
  • Practical knowledge of rigging, slinging, and jacking procedures.
  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical fitting skills.
