About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Information & Advice Specialist to join our team at Greenwich Council. As a Generalist Advisor, you will provide expert guidance and support to older adults, helping them navigate complex issues and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality information and advice to clients, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
  • Work closely with the Advice Case Supervisor to maintain accurate and up-to-date information resources.
  • Support the Volunteer I&A Advisors in their roles, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and programs, enhancing the overall impact of our Information & Advice Department.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an advice-based setting, with a strong understanding of the issues affecting older people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting changing demands.
