Job Description

ersg Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor to join our Legal team. As a successful international recruitment business specializing in the renewables energy sector, we require a professional with expertise in contract review to support our global entities.

  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Take responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client contracts, ensuring compliance with our sign-off process and advising Business Managers on commercial terms.
  • Document Review and Amendment: Review and amend various third-party agreements, including non-disclosure/non-competition agreements, supplier agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Client Support and Liaison: Attend client meetings or liaise directly with clients to support Recruitment consultants in winning new business, negotiating terms, or providing legal support.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve national and international legal disputes, including contractual disputes, employment matters, debt recovery procedures, and preparation of court documentation.
  • Team Support and Escalation: Act as a first escalation point for legal and contractual queries arising from the Contracts & Compliance team, with assistance from junior members.
  • Work Permit Coordination: Oversee and support the work permit application process, coordinating with local immigration partners when necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a junior legal advisor, providing training, development, and support to junior members of the Legal Department.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Advisor, Contracts Advisor, or similar role.
  • A strong understanding of contract law.
  • Experience within a recruitment agency is desirable.
  • Previous management experience of junior legal colleagues is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Degree-level education (ideally a Law degree).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.

Work Arrangements

This role is mostly site-based with the option to work 1 day per week from home.
