About the Role

As a key member of our team at FirstGroup, you will have a multifaceted role as a Customer Service Representative. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that customer requirements are met and exceeded. Your duties will include:

  • Confidently and impartially selling the full range of tickets and services to customers
  • Ensuring that station activities, including cleaning and customer assistance, are completed safely and punctually
  • Providing key information to customers

Main Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing the highest level of customer service and being dedicated to customer needs
  • Accurately and impartially selling the full range of products and services to our customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
  • Maximizing opportunities for increased sales at ticket offices by adopting selling techniques and offering enhanced products to customers
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and cleaning of ticket machines and IT equipment
  • Accurately completing all accountancy and other associated documentation
  • Providing information and assistance to customers
  • Ensuring the safety of customers, staff, visitors, and contractors is given the highest priority
  • Maintaining a safe, pleasant, and clean station environment, including cleaning and gritting

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be able to deliver extraordinary front-line customer service
  • Understand customer requirements and expectations
  • Be a self-starter with a can-do attitude
  • Be confident when decision-making
  • Remain calm yet directive in a crisis
  • Be able to work to strict procedures

Working Arrangements

You will work a 3-week rolling roster with set rest days. The earliest start time is 05:55, and the latest possible finish is 19:15.
