We are seeking a Community Development Coach to join our team at Forest Green Rovers Football Club. As a key member of our community trust, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality programmes that promote participation and enjoyment of football in the local community.

About the Role

Salary: £24,960 per annum (pro rata for 16 hours a week)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced coach or youth worker to join our innovative community trust. You will be responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate sessions that focus on developing life skills, fundamental skills, and techniques. Your passion for promoting participation and love for the sport will be contagious, inspiring young people to reach their full potential.

You will work closely with our project co-ordinators to ensure the smooth delivery of Premier League Kicks and Premier League Primary Stars programmes. Your ability to build positive relationships with diverse groups of young people and maintain clear communication with participants, parents, and community partners will be essential in this role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Bulid positive relations with diverse groups of young people from various backgrounds.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate sessions which focus on developing life skills, along with fundamental skills and techniques.
  • Support in the delivery of tournaments/matches, refereeing or managing young people.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with participants, parents, community partners and other coaching staff.
Requirements

Essential:

  • Knowledge of the FA Coaching Pathway and a minimum of a Level 2 football coaching badge or Youth Work level 2.
  • Experience of working or volunteering within either school, club, or community sporting settings.
  • Ability to plan, deliver & evaluate coaching sessions.
  • Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced CRB Certificate or Current FA DBS Clearance.
  • FA Safeguarding & Emergency aid/ BFAS Qualifications.

Desirable:

  • UEFA C/Level 2 (or equivalent).
  • Level 3 AfPe qualification.
  • Level 3/4 TA/HLTA qualification.
  • D1 minibus licence.
