Forest Green Rovers Football Club is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Community Trust team as a Community Engagement Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality community-focused initiatives and programmes, working closely with our football club to inspire young people to reach their potential. This role will involve delivering coaching sessions, mentoring young people, and building positive relationships with diverse groups of young people.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering coaching sessions as part of our Premier League Kicks and Premier League Primary Stars programmes
  • Mentoring young people to develop their life skills, fundamental skills, and techniques
  • Building positive relationships with young people, parents, community partners, and other coaching staff
  • Supporting the delivery of tournaments and matches, refereeing or managing young people

Forest Green Rovers is a unique football club with a rich history and a strong commitment to sustainability and community development. We are looking for someone who shares our values and is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Level 2 football coaching badge or Youth Work Level 2, experience of working or volunteering in a sporting setting, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A UEFA C/Level 2 or equivalent qualification and experience of working in a charity or community organisation would be an advantage.
