We have a great opportunity for a Head of Leadership Development to join our Global HR Team here at Domestic & General on a Maternity Cover for 12 Months. Working as part of the Talent & Leadership team, this role will lead delivery of our ambitious Leadership ambition. It will lead on multiple initiatives, from design, implementation to evaluation of a range of Leadership Development interventions for D&G.

The role will also support the wider team with the implementation of the overall Talent & Leadership ambition, as part of the People Strategy.

  1. Working closely with HR Director, Talent and Leadership to execute Leadership Roadmap for 2024-26+
  2. Lead design, implementation, and evaluation of the whole suite of leadership development programmes, tailored for different levels of leadership across the leadership pathway, i.e. from People Leaders to Integration Leaders to Strategic Leaders.
  3. Lead design, implementation, and evaluation of the whole suite of offerings related to the Professional Skills Development for our non-contact centre professionals, including professional accreditations, apprenticeships, core leadership and technical skills and career pathways.
  4. Lead design, implementation and evaluation of the Team and Community Development offerings, from High Performing Teams to Horizontal Leadership Forums.
  5. Proactively support design, implementation, and evaluation of the Culture Enablement interventions, such as Mindsets and Behaviours, D+G Story Connection and similar.
  6. Lead on design, implementation, and evaluation of Coaching and Mentoring offerings to different leadership segments.
  7. Establish an efficient and effective Delivery Infrastructure of Leadership Development Offerings, such as leadership portal, external partners, internal delivery capability, tools and systems, etc.
    1. A passionate L&D professional with expertise of professional skills development who takes/will take pride in supporting people with their professional development.
    2. Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment while also working autonomously and taking ownership of projects.
    3. Passion for leadership development and influencing the success of others.
    4. Embraces and values the foundational leadership development work that has already been accomplished with the willingness to build upon it rather than replacing it.
