About the Role

The Church of England is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our national Ministry Development Team (MDT) as the Head of Leadership Development. This role is focused on facilitating the development of Christian leaders who will be faithful to their calling, fruitful in their work, and flourish as children of God as they play their part in pursuing our national vision and strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with delivery partners to ensure the successful delivery of the national Incumbent development programme.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to shape, plan, and implement the programme, ensuring alignment with the overarching programme framework and its aims and objectives.
  • Lead on the evaluation of the programme, including the collation of data and reporting to governance bodies.
  • Present at governance meetings and project boards to consult with and influence senior leaders across the Church.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive central database to track programme progress and participant information.
  • Lead on the establishment and coordination of a learning community to share insights and learning from the programme.
  • Manage administrative support and coach senior leaders from leadership programmes as opportunities arise.
  • Contribute to writing reports for key bodies and deputise for the Head of Senior Leadership Development as required.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about Christian leadership development and capacity building. You will have excellent strategic and operational working relationships with delivery partners, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills. You will also have experience in programme evaluation, data analysis, and reporting.
