Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Reception Manager to lead our Front Office team at the Royal National Hotel, UK's largest hotel with over 1,600 rooms. As a key member of the Front Office Management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring high-quality service standards across all services and facilities within the Front Office department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Front Office Management team in achieving quality of service and delivery targets.
- Handle guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring suitable solutions are reached to satisfy our guests.
- Establish and develop improvement plans to address service shortfalls in service quality and/or delivery standards.
- Manage the front desk team to provide a professional and friendly service to customers, addressing any guest complaints that arise.
- Ensure adequate cover across the reception through scheduling staff rotas and providing cover as needed.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop all Reception and other front-of-house team members, creating a culture of continuous professional development.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Previous experience as a Reception Supervisor or Front of House supervisor in a similar operation.
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Commercially focused with an understanding of revenue management and experience of budgets, P&L, and forecasting would be advantageous.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport easily with internal departments and guests alike.
- A natural leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team to reach their full potential.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft and Opera reservation systems.
