Business Development Opportunity
Evotec is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to drive strategic partnerships in Europe. The ideal candidate will report to the Head of Discovery Business Development, Europe, and be responsible for driving business development strategy within the territory in close partnership with the EVP & SVP BD, therapeutic area, and platform leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish relationships with partners to accelerate research, development, and commercialization of their innovative products leveraging Evotec's best-in-class integrated research and development platform.
- Provide strong leadership to a regional BD team while fostering their growth and career development.
- Drive the overall business development strategy within the territory in close partnership with the EVP & SVP BD, therapeutic area, and platform leadership teams.
Requirements:
- A thorough understanding of the drug discovery and development paradigm across modalities (including small molecule, mAb, and cell therapy).
- Demonstrated network in Europe across pharma, biotech, and venture capitalists at senior levels.
- Experience achieving results with and leading cross-functional teams to drive creative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum BSc, MSc, or PhD preferable in a Life Sciences discipline or other advanced degree (MBA).
- Greater than 10 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech company and/or management consulting with a minimum of 5-7 years proven business development experience.
- Demonstrated record of success in business development including large and complex partnership and/or licensing transactions.
