About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our Peterborough store and drive business success. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Leadership: Take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of the store, leading and developing a team of colleagues to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve business objectives.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement business strategies to increase customer engagement, optimize store traffic, and maximize profitability. Meet and exceed sales targets through effective training, motivation, and mentoring of staff.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering outstanding service and maintaining store standards.
  • Store Administration: Oversee store administration, including compliance with health and safety requirements, banking, and other relevant policies and procedures. Maintain excellent visual merchandising standards.
  • Team Management: Conduct regular performance appraisals, identify training needs, and support career development. Manage and resolve any staff or customer issues, including complaints and grievances.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Area Sales Manager, other Store Managers, and business functions to achieve overall business goals. Liaise with the marketing team to implement and maintain marketing strategies.

Requirements:

  • Fishing Industry Expertise: Passionate anglers with solid fishing product knowledge.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Retail Experience: Experience of working in a retail environment with proven success in leading and motivating teams.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage and measure work effectively.
  • Team Player: Team players who are motivated to meet targets and achieve business goals.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to build effective teams, motivate others, and manage conflict with confidence.
