Job Title: Settlements Analyst

Join Imperial Workforce as a Settlements Analyst and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our trading and commercial functions.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our SEUK Back Office team. As a Settlements Analyst, you will be responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly back office settlement tasks, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades.

You will also be responsible for performing time-critical invoicing tasks, resolving outstanding netting and invoicing issues, and providing essential support for our gas shipping, power supply, and ancillary services portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly back office settlement tasks, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform time-critical invoicing tasks and resolve outstanding netting and invoicing issues.
  • Provide essential support for gas shipping, power supply, and ancillary services portfolios.
  • Liaise with external counterparties and network operators to reconcile trades, meter data, and flows.
  • Report month-end accruals to assist the Finance team with the month-end close reporting.
  • Competently use external trading and invoicing systems, continually improving team processes.
  • Ensure team processes and procedures are constantly reviewed, documented, and updated.
  • Risk control and compliance duties are performed diligently to avoid financial exposure.
  • Support the training and development of other settlement analysts.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in an operational support team.
  • Good level of interpersonal skills to achieve effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with applied proficiency of Microsoft suite.
  • Experience of applied Excel is desired.
  • A full UK driving license is required.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential.
