Children's Residential Support Worker Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in a therapeutic care setting. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to advocate for the positive development of young individuals and foster a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Support the Service Manager in ensuring efficient day-to-day management and high-quality care.
  • Lead a team in providing therapeutic care, addressing the unique needs of each child.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including event logs, progress reports, and care plans.
  • Serve as a positive role model for both colleagues and children, addressing their daily needs and fostering trust and growth.
Essential Criteria
  • At least 1 year of experience in a child-centred, therapeutic environment.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • The ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Possession of additional relevant qualifications (desirable).
