Job Description: Become a Bereavement Services Coordinator at Farleigh Hospice and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals coping with loss. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide expert bereavement support and guidance.

About the Role:

  • Job Type: Full-time position available
  • Working Hours: Standard working hours, with flexibility to accommodate evening or weekend shifts as needed
  • Reports to: Service Manager/Bereavement Service Manager/Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Support Planning: Assess client needs and develop tailored support plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  2. Counselling and Guidance: Deliver one-on-one counselling sessions and group programmes, providing emotional support and guidance to clients navigating the grieving process
  3. Service Delivery and Evaluation: Collaborate with the team to design and implement new bereavement support services, evaluating programme effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, session outcomes, and any notable observations or concerns

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Counselling Qualifications: Possess relevant counselling qualifications and experience, preferably with a focus on bereavement support
  • Supervision Requirements: Demonstrate evidence of regular supervision, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Training and Development: Commit to ongoing professional development, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Salary: Estimated at £42,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience
