Care Home Activities Support Worker

In this rewarding role, you will join our dedicated team at Wellington Vale, a luxurious care home in Waterlooville, Hampshire. As a Care Home Activities Support Worker, you will play a vital part in creating a stimulating environment for our residents, promoting social interaction, mental well-being, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with our Activities Lead to design and deliver engaging activities, tailored to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents.
  2. Support the organization of fundraising events, special occasions, and themed days, fostering a sense of community and social connection among our residents.
  3. Assist in producing a monthly program of events, working closely with our General Manager to ensure smooth execution.
  4. Encourage participation and inclusivity among residents and staff, promoting a culture of engagement and activity.
  5. Maintain visual displays, showcasing upcoming events and activities within the home.

Essential Skills and Qualities:

  1. Exhibit a compassionate and caring attitude towards our residents, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
  2. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ensuring timely execution of activities and events.
  3. Showcase a friendly and approachable demeanor, being a positive influence on our residents and colleagues.
  4. Possess basic IT skills, comfortable using systems to support your duties.
  5. Exhibit good communication and written English skills, essential for effective collaboration and documentation.
