Activities Coordinator

A fulfilling role awaits in our luxury care home, Wellington Vale, where you will work closely with our Activities Lead to coordinate engaging activities and volunteer programs. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing successful events that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and community integration among our residents.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and conduct activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.
  2. Collaborate with our team to organize fundraising events and special occasions, such as Christmas celebrations and themed days.
  3. Design and produce a monthly program of events, working closely with our General Manager to ensure seamless execution.
  4. Foster a culture of participation and inclusivity by encouraging residents and staff to engage in our activities program.
  5. Maintain visual displays within the home, highlighting upcoming events and activities.

Requirements:

  1. Display a compassionate and caring attitude towards our residents.
  2. Demonstrate organizational skills, ensuring timely execution of activities and events.
  3. Showcase outgoing personality, being a positive influence on our residents and colleagues alike.
  4. Possess IT literacy, comfortably using systems to support your duties.
  5. Exhibit excellent communication and written English skills, essential for effective collaboration and documentation.
